Air & Roots? I'm in.

A guest blog by William Boyd. I’m not a writer. I wouldn’t consider myself especially creative. I would rarely make an original post to any social media. Sure, I can ‘retweet’ and ‘like’ with the best of them – but original content? Not my shtick. All that said, I have loved and been with a “creative” for the last 13 years…albeit a stick-figure drawing creative. Being on the receiving end of her lightning fast wit and literary thumb has been the principle reason for my densely populated loss column in many arguments and thought positions… at least, that’s my story.  I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum.  Blunt. Logistic and logic oriented. Numbers, data and evidence. She’s challenged me to be sharper shooting from the hip. Mature my creative thoughts. Beyond our quasi-instant soulmate connection (which I’m sure she’ll write about at some point), I’m very different from Sarah and she’s very different from me. The cliché is opposites attract – sure, that’s true in the physical world of protons and electrons but we all know there must be commonality in values, lifestyle and life goals for a relationship – parenting included -- to tick.

When Sarah texted me and said “Register the name airandroots on your GoDaddy”  I didn’t ask questions.

Then I sat back and pondered – what’s air and roots?  Whatever it is – I’m all in.
